Check the game name on your ticket first, then the draw date, then the six numbers. Confirm against pcso.gov.ph or the live draw stream last. Skip that order, and a genuine loss can feel like a win, or the other way around.
Mega Lotto 6/45 has one quirk the other PCSO number games do not: there is no impossible-number trick to fall back on. A Super Lotto 6/49 ticket can prove itself by carrying a number in the 46-49 range, and an Ultra Lotto 6/58 or Grand Lotto 6/55 ticket can do the same at the top of their boards. A 6/45 combination cannot, because every number on it also fits inside every bigger game's range. The game name printed on the slip is the only reliable check here.
Two more mistakes cost real tickets:
- Draw day drift. Mega Lotto is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Not Tuesday, not Saturday. A template built for Grand Lotto 6/55 or Lotto 6/42 will get this wrong.
- The constant companion. 4D sells alongside Mega Lotto on all three of its draw nights, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, while the other jackpot game sharing the cutoff changes: Grand Lotto 6/55 on Monday and Wednesday, Ultra Lotto 6/58 on Friday. A late ticket on any of these nights rolls to Mega Lotto's next scheduled date, not to whichever jackpot game happened to share that cutoff.
One more detail: the barcode reads the combination, not the print order. Whether your slip shows 03-14-22-31-38-45 or 45-38-31-22-14-03, it is the same ticket.
What a Mega Lotto 6/45 prize is really worth
Mega Lotto 6/45 odds are 1 in 8,145,060 for the jackpot, the shortest odds of PCSO's four major 6-number games. The minimum jackpot is ₱15,000,000, and it is pari-mutuel: if more than one ticket hits six numbers, the pot splits between them.
The 5-of-6 and 4-of-6 tiers move with how many tickets get sold that night (PCSO calls this a Prize Pool Share), so the figure changes draw to draw. More matches at that tier on a given night means a smaller cut for each winner; a quiet night pays out more per winner.
Matching three numbers pays a fixed ₱30, the lowest of the four major games but still guaranteed. It is not a consolation jackpot. Confirm the game name printed on the ticket before you treat that ₱30 as a sign the bigger prize is close.
How to claim your Mega Lotto 6/45 prize
Sign the back of your ticket the same night, using the exact name on your government ID. Keep it flat, not folded in a wallet. A cracked barcode or thermal fade is enough for an outlet to turn you away.
The ₱10,000 mark is the real fork:
- ₱10,000 and below: any authorized outlet or the nearest PCSO branch. Cash, no tax, two valid IDs.
- ₱10,001 to ₱300,000: a PCSO branch office only, not the outlet counter. Payment is by check. PCSO withholds 20% final tax under the TRAIN Law. Bring two IDs and your TIN. Weekdays only, roughly 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Jackpot or above ₱300,000: the PCSO Main Office.
