Ticket sales run from 7:00 AM and close around 8:00 to 8:30 PM on draw nights. 4D draws on the exact same three nights as Mega Lotto 6/45, every single week.

How to check today's 4D lotto result against your ticket

Check the game name on your ticket first, then the draw date, then the four digits. Confirm against pcso.gov.ph or the live draw stream last. Skip that order, and a genuine loss can feel like a win, or the other way around.

The mistake specific to this game is the same trap as 6D: Mega Lotto 6/45 shares all three of 4D's draw nights and pays out on any-order matches, but 4D requires exact order. If the draw posts 5-2-8-1 and your ticket reads 1-8-2-5, that is not a match, even though it is the same four digits.

Two more mistakes cost real tickets:

• Draw day drift. 4D is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Not Tuesday, not Saturday. A template built for Lotto 6/42 or 6D will get this wrong.
• The 8 PM cutoff. Outlets stop selling around 8:00 to 8:30 PM. A ticket bought after that rolls to the next 4D date, so checking it against tonight's draw manufactures a loss that never happened.

One more detail: because digits can repeat, a combination like 3-3-7-7 is just as valid a play as 1-2-3-4. There is no rule against reusing a digit across columns.

What a 4D Lotto prize is really worth

4D's odds are 1 in 10,000 for 1st Prize, since four columns each carry ten possible digits in a fixed order: 10 to the 4th power. That is a hundred times shorter than 6D's 1-in-1,000,000 odds, making 4D the best odds of any PCSO lotto game by a wide margin. The trade-off is the ceiling: 4D's Minimum Guaranteed Amount is ₱10,000, well below 6D's ₱150,000 floor.

Only 1st Prize is pari-mutuel, dividing the pool among winners if more than one ticket matches all four digits. 2nd and 3rd Prize pay their fixed amount no matter how many other people also win that tier the same night.

Unlike 6D, 4D never offers a "first N digits" consolation prize, only "last N." Matching the first two or three digits and missing the rest wins nothing here.

How to claim your 4D Lotto prize

Sign the back of your ticket the same night, using the exact name on your government ID. Keep it flat, not folded in a wallet. A cracked barcode or thermal fade is enough for an outlet to turn you away.

4D uses the same claim thresholds as 6D, not the number games' ₱300,000 breakpoint:

• ₱10,000 and below: any authorized outlet or the nearest PCSO branch. Cash, no tax, two valid IDs.
• ₱10,001 to ₱500,000: a PCSO branch office. Bring two IDs and your TIN. PCSO withholds 20% final tax under the TRAIN Law. Weekdays only, roughly 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Above ₱500,000: the PCSO Main Office, 2nd Floor.

One warning worth repeating: PCSO does not text winners asking for a "processing fee," and it does not validate prizes over Messenger. If that message arrives, it is a scam.

What PERM and ROLL actually buy you on 4D

4D is the first game on this hub where PCSO sells more than a straight play. PERM, known on the street as "rambol," bets every possible arrangement of a 4-digit combination in one go. A combination with four different digits, like 1-2-3-4, has 24 possible arrangements, so a full PERM bet costs 24 times the base play. Combinations with repeated digits have fewer arrangements and cost less: two pairs like 1-1-2-2 has only 6 arrangements, three-of-a-kind like 1-1-1-2 has just 4.

PERM does not change your odds of matching the draw. It changes how many of the 10,000 possible straight combinations your single bet actually covers, at a proportionally higher cost. Betting straight on 1-2-3-4 alone still has the same 1-in-10,000 shot as any other single number; PERM just buys you 24 of those shots in the numbers you already picked, still ending at the odds you would expect for the total amount spent.

ROLL 1 and ROLL 4 work differently: mark ROLL 1 and the system fills in the first digit with all ten possibilities to complement your chosen last three digits, covering 10 sets for the price of 10 plays. ROLL 4 does the same with the last digit instead. Both are a way to cover one full column of digits, not a discount on the odds.

Should you use a number generator for 4D Lotto?

For 4D specifically, PCSO's own Lucky Pick at the outlet fills the same role: four digits chosen with equal odds, no bias toward birthdates or plate numbers. If you are set on a specific combination instead, PERM is the honest way to widen your coverage of it, not a way to beat the odds.

How much should you actually spend on 4D?

Keep 4D inside the same ₱100 to ₱300 weekly cap you would set for any PCSO game, not stacked on top of it. PERM bets multiply cost fast, a full 24-way PERM on four different digits already eats a third of a modest weekly budget in one play.

In practice, that means picking straight or PERM before you get to the counter, not scaling up mid-purchase because the teller mentions it covers more numbers. More coverage still costs proportionally more, it is not a discount.
